Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Movild collects when you use our app and services, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. Movild helps you build, run, and ship software from your phone with AI coding agents.

We do not use your code, prompts, or generated output to train AI models without your consent. See Section 04.

01Who we are & scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Movild mobile app, the movild command-line interface, our websites, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Movild, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Movild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

It does not cover the practices of third parties we do not control — including AI model providers, GitHub, hosting providers, app stores, and any service you connect to or deploy from the Service. Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies.

1.1 A note on our two modes

In Builder Mode(hosted), your prompts, code, and builds are processed on Movild’s cloud infrastructure and through our AI providers, so we necessarily process more of your content. In Developer Mode (bring-your-own-key), the agent runs locally on your own machine and uses your own provider keys; in that mode we receive far less of your content — mainly account, billing-free usage, and diagnostic data — and your code and prompts flow directly between your machine and the providers you configured.

02Data we collect

The categories of personal data we collect depend on how you use the Service:

Account data
Name, email, profile image, authentication identifiers and tokens (e.g. from GitHub sign-in), and your settings and preferences.
Your Content
Prompts and instructions you submit, code and files you connect or generate, repository and pull-request metadata, chat history, and build/preview artifacts processed through the Service.
Billing data
Plan, Credit balance and transactions, and billing records. Card details are handled by our payment processor or by Apple — we do not store full card numbers.
Usage & device data
App and feature usage, IP address, device type and OS, app version, identifiers, crash logs, performance and error telemetry, and approximate location derived from IP.
Support data
The contents of messages you send us for support or feedback, and related contact information.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive data, and the Service is not designed to store it. Please do not submit payment card data, government identifiers, or health information as part of your prompts or code.

03How we collect it

  • Directly from you — when you create an Account, connect GitHub, submit prompts, make a purchase, or contact support.
  • Automatically — through the app and our servers using logging, analytics, crash-reporting, and similar technologies that record how the Service is used and how it performs.
  • From third parties — such as authentication providers (e.g. GitHub OAuth tokens), payment processors and app stores (transaction confirmations), and analytics or infrastructure providers acting on our behalf.

Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and basic analytics. The mobile app uses mobile SDKs for analytics and crash reporting rather than browser cookies.

04How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including running agents, generating Output, opening pull requests, and producing previews and builds;
  • create and administer your Account and authenticate you;
  • process payments, manage Credits, and prevent billing fraud;
  • provide customer support and respond to your requests and feedback;
  • monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service, including diagnosing errors and analyzing usage;
  • send you service and transactional messages, and — where permitted — product updates you can opt out of;
  • protect the Service, our users, and others, and detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, security incidents, and illegal activity;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you, which we may use for any lawful purpose.

05AI & your code

The Service uses AI models to generate Output from your Inputs. To do this, your prompts and relevant code may be transmitted to and processed by AI providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) and by our execution and hosting infrastructure. In Developer Mode, those Inputs flow directly between your own machine and the providers whose keys you supply.

We do not use your Inputs or Output — including your code, prompts, or generated results — to train or fine-tune our or any third party’s AI or machine-learning models without your separate consent. Where you direct your data to a third-party provider (for example, by supplying your own model key), that provider’s terms and policies govern its use of your data, including any training, and we have no control over or responsibility for it.

06How we share data

We share personal data only as described here:

  • Service providers — vendors that process data on our behalf to run the Service, such as AI model providers, cloud hosting and sandbox infrastructure, databases, analytics and crash reporting, and payment processing.
  • Connected platforms — when you authorize an integration (e.g. GitHub), we exchange the data needed to perform the actions you request, such as reading and writing repositories and opening pull requests.
  • App stores & payment processors — to complete and verify purchases you make.
  • Legal & safety — to comply with law or lawful requests, enforce our Terms, protect our rights, and detect or prevent fraud, security incidents, or harm.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, including our planned conversion to a corporation, or in the event of insolvency.
  • With your consent or direction — for any other disclosure you ask us to make.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

07Third-party services

The Service depends on and links to third-party products — AI providers, GitHub, hosting and sandbox infrastructure, payment processors, and app stores. This Privacy Policy does not cover those parties’ practices. When you connect, deploy to, or otherwise use a third-party service, review its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for third parties’ handling of your data.

08Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your Account, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Your Content is retained while your Account is active and is deleted, or de-identified, within a reasonable period after you delete it or close your Account, except for copies kept in routine backups or as required by law. Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

09Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation of execution environments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your Account credentials and API keys and for notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access.

10Your choices & rights

10.1 Account & communications

You can review and update your Account information in the app, and you can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link. You cannot opt out of service and transactional messages while you have an Account. On Apple devices, you can manage tracking and analytics through your device’s privacy settings, including App Tracking Transparency.

10.2 Privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights; as noted above, we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10.3 How to exercise them

To make a request, contact us at privacy@movild.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law. You may also delete your Account at any time from within the app.

11International transfers

Movild is based in the United States, and we and our providers may process and store personal data in the U.S. and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers. By using the Service, you understand your data may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

12Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at privacy@movild.com and we will delete it.

13Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide notice through the app, by email, or by another appropriate channel. Changes take effect when posted unless stated otherwise.
